Paper presented at Conference on Software System Process



Prof Sebastiano Panichella from Zurich University of Applied Sciences and Technology Director of the COSMOS project, co-authored a paper presented at the International Conference on Software System Process (ICSSP) held virtually on 18-19 May 2021. The paper titled "Do Communities in Developer Interaction Networks align with Subsystem Developer Teams? An Empirical Study of Open Source Systems", reports on an empirical study of 10 open source projects revealing key characteristics of developer communities across a OSS projects' lifetime and important insights, which are useful for practitioners and researchers to better understand developer community interaction structure of open source systems.

The paper was prepared in collaboration with researchers from the Johannes Kepler University in Austria, with financial support of the Austrian Science Fund.
